Lil Hoopers: Ages 4 - 6 years Boys & Girls

Get your little athlete started on the right foot with our fun and engaging 12-week introductory basketball program! Designed for kids ages 4-6, this class teaches the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, and shooting through exciting games and activities. Our goal is to help young players build confidence, coordination, and a love for the game in a supportive and energetic environment. Join us and let the fun begin!

Beginner: Ages 7 - 9 years Boys & Girls

The Beginner level is designed for athletes looking to develop fundamental basketball skills, as well as a basic understanding of the game. Skills learned include:

  • Dribbling with Both Hands

  • Ball Control and Playing Posture

  • Core Shooting Principles

  • Footwork and Body Control

  • Passing and Receiving

Intermediate: Ages 10 - 12 years Boys & Girls

The Intermediate classes will reinforce core fundamentals while introducing new skills to take their game to the next level. Skills learned include:

  • Ball Handling in Straight Lines and Changing Directions

  • Finishing Around-the-Rim (wide variety of 1 & 2 foot finishes)

  • Shooting (Form, Mechanics, and Efficiency from all levels)

  • Offensive Footwork (for all areas of the floor)

  • Real Game Application

Intermediate Skills Clinic | 12-Week Session

  • Includes: 4 basketball sessions per week | TSA T-Shirt & Water Bottle | Personalized Skills Development Tracker

    1 performance session per week (Includes Speed, Jumping, Strength, and Agility)

  • “Red Light, Green Light” (dribble version)

⏱️ 0:10–0:20 | Ball Familiarity Drills

  • Ball taps (fingertips only)

  • Around the waist/knees/head

  • “Rock the Baby” (side-to-side cradling)

  • Drop & Catch (let the ball bounce, clap once, catch)

  • Stationary dribbling (right & left hand)

  • “Dribble Freeze Dance”

  • Dribble relay races (cone zig-zag)

⏱️ 0:30–0:40 | Passing Drills

  • Chest pass to partner

  • Bounce pass through cones

  • “Pass & Move” in a circle

⏱️ 0:40–0:50 | Shooting Fundamentals

  • Use lower hoops or mini hoops

  • Set-shooting form with targets (like hula hoops on cones)

  • Form shooting (B.E.E.F. breakdown)

  • Spot shooting (5 spots around the key)

  • “Beat the Coach” shooting challenge

  • Defensive stance drills, slides, mirror game

  • 1v1 and 2v2 mini games

Focus: Fundamental execution, footwork, game IQ, competition

  • Dynamic stretches (lunges, high knees, carioca, backpedal)

  • Ball handling while moving:

    • Crossover, between-the-legs, behind-the-back

    • “Follow the Leader” dribble patterns

    • Two-ball dribbling (if available)

⏱️ 0:10–0:20 | Footwork & Layups

  • Jab step and pivot series (both feet)

  • 1-dribble layups off triple threat

  • Reverse and power layup drill (use both sides)

⏱️ 0:20–0:30 | Shooting Drills

  • Form shooting at close range (1-hand and full form)

  • Catch-and-shoot (baseline, elbow, wing)

  • Shooting off the dribble (left & right hand)

  • “Make 3 in a Row” challenge

⏱️ 0:30–0:40 | Passing & Game Reads

  • Partner passing on the move (chest, bounce, overhead)

  • “Drive and Kick” drill

  • 2v1 Decision drill (pass or finish)

⏱️ 0:40–0:50 | Defense & Rebounding

  • Close-out drill (foot chop, hand high, stay low)

  • Shell drill (defensive rotations)

  • Box out challenge (rebound after shot from coach)

⏱️ 0:50–1:00 | Live Play + Wrap-Up

  • 3v3 or 4v4 half-court games with coaching cues

  • “Situational Play” (e.g., down by 2, 30 seconds left)

  • End with player shoutouts: hustle, teamwork, sportsmanship

🏀 Beginner Basketball Skills Clinic - Ages 7-9 Boys & Girls

Our Beginner Basketball Skills Clinic is the perfect introduction to the game! Young athletes will be introduced to the fundamentals of basketball in a positive, high-energy, and fun-filled environment. Through engaging drills and playful instruction, our athletes will gain a basic understanding of the game while building confidence on the court.

Along the way, they'll begin to develop a genuine love for the sport as they learn and grow.

4-Week Mini Session Beginner Skills Clinic will cover:

  • Ball handling and dribbling with control

  • Passing fundamentals (chest, bounce, and moving passes)

  • Proper shooting form and technique

  • Footwork basics like pivoting and triple threat position

  • Layups from both sides of the basket

  • Teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship

  • Intro to game rules and overall gameplay

The clinic wraps up with fun games and mini scrimmages designed to reinforce learning while keeping the excitement high. Each athlete will leave with a prize and a TSA parting gift!

Introduce your little one to the game of basketball with our Lil Hoopers Clinic—a fun, high-energy program designed for kids ages 4 to 6! These 1-hour Saturday sessions are packed with playful games, movement, and friendly basketball skills that keep young athletes engaged and smiling from start to finish.

Each week, participants will learn the basics of dribbling, passing, and shooting in a supportive setting that encourages confidence, coordination, and teamwork. No pressure, just positive vibes and lots of fun!

4-Week Mini Session Lil Hoopers Skills Clinic will cover:

  • Dribbling basics (stationary and moving with control)

  • Hand-eye coordination through ball taps, catches, and movement drills

  • Passing fundamentals (chest pass and bounce pass to partners)

  • Shooting technique (form shooting with mini hoops or lower baskets)

  • Footwork and balance (pivoting, stops, and change of direction)

  • Teamwork and sharing during partner and group activities

  • Basketball terms (court awareness, hoop, pass, dribble, etc.)

The clinic wraps up with fun games, prizes and a TSA parting gift for all the athletes!
